Iya Chukwudi is my sister, I did not threaten the Igbos – MC Oluomo (Video)

MC Oluomo, the chairman of Lagos State parks and garages in a recent video making the rounds online debunks the report of him threatening the Igbos in Lagos ahead of the governorship and state house of assembly elections that is taking place tomorrow March 18th, 2023.

According to the reports that surfaced online, MC Oluomo issued a threat to Igbo people to stay at home during the governorship election in Lagos on Saturday if they do not want to vote for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates.

Reacting to this, MC Oluomo in a video shared via his offical Instagram page said he is not threatening the Igbos noting that Iya Chukwudi he mentioned is her sister and by extension tells people to cout him out of threat.

MC Oluomo wrote, “I Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly called Mc-Oluomo, the chairman of Lagos State Park and Garages Management, has refuted a malicious video that has gone viral where I was quoted to threatened Igbo voters in Lagos. The viral video which was edited to reflect the malicious intend of the false purveyors only captured where I was joking with an Igbo woman that I we not be happy if she stayed in house then vote against my party (referring to APC).

The video was captured when I was holding a meeting with some residents of Oshodi , Isolo and Ejigbo which include Igbos and the woman whom he referred to as “Iya Chukwundi” was in the meeting. The woman in question has however debunked the claim saying herself, to be sincere have a cordial relationship. She stressed that she has been supplying Mc-Oluomo noddles for a long time, showing how cordial their relationships are.

I am surprised that the joke I was cracking with Iya Chukwundi has been twisted to mean I am threatening Igbos in Lagos. I wonder why people would always want to twist your words or a deliberate act to misconstrue my words to suit their selfish interest. The video was edited to only show where I made the joke and they attached a negative message to it.”

The woman in question, Mrs Uche also stated that her attention was drawn to the viral video by her daughter. She said it was joke directed at her in the meeting and she was equally surprised that people edited the video and are claiming that I Mc-Oluomo was threatening Igbos.

She said,” I am still surprised. I never knew the joke MC cracked to me yesterday has been twisted by people. Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc-Oluomo is a lover of Igbos and the message is not a threat, rather in the meeting, he said he wants me to vote for him(APC) and that he would prefer I stay at home than vote against him and we all laughed it off”. One love one Nigeria.
